Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The trendy and fashionable in Syracuse are gearing up for the annual Syracuse Fashion Week.

The event kicks off on Wednesday with an opening night gala at the Landmark Theatre.

There will be more than 60 models taking part in a style showcase with all ticket proceeds benefiting the Food Bank of Central New York.

Executive Director Lisa Marie Butler says that partnership has helped her develop the themes for this year’s event.

“We partnered with the Food Bank and food and fashion is our theme for next week,” Butler said. “Those are the two main things that we need to be happy people. We need to have food. We need to have clothing. So that’s how that all came about.”
